Lucy does not like ponies in her car!

So today, Lucy (our golden girl) and I drove up to see Beau and take him out to the 10 acre park to work. Up until now, I thought Lucy just got excited to see the horses - now we know that she is not sure what to think of the gigantic dog that walks with us. Our trek to the park was uneventful - considering the barking dogs, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and 4 wheelers that we had to pass! Beau did amazing on the lunge line again - today was working on trotting up and down the little mounds and learning where our feet are. Upon arriving back at the barn, I took Lucy and got her in the car (she gets too riled up and overexerts herself - she's almost 9) with the window down. I continued walking around with Beau and decided to let him greet her at the car - he decided to stick his head in the window! And her reaction was priceless!!! She doesn't bite, growl, or bark - but her face looks mean as if she is saying "absolutely no ponies in my car!"
We won't be taking Beau for car rides any time soon, according to Lucy.

The Beginning of a Beautiful Love...

On Saturday, May 8th, I arrived to greet my new partner Beau - or Beaudacious as I refer to his antics! We took the journey to his new home and life was just better. Only 2 days of owning him and I have already fallen completely in love! This is the start of Beau's transformation into my new riding buddy and friend. I owe gratitude to his previous owner (Julianna) and also his trainer (Alex) for never losing faith in him and for bringing the two of us together, and for that I thank you both. I now have the time, that was cause for ending my last equine relationship, and am so excited for the journey! So now that I've gone totally sappy (this should be as bad as it gets) stay tuned for Beau and my progress!
